OUR IMMEDIATE NEED - DAYTONA BEACH, FL
A & Associates is actively hiring Sanitation Helpers for immediate placement in Daytona Beach, Florida. Candidates must be reliable, punctual, and ready to begin work immediately. Individuals will support sanitation operations by collecting garbage, recyclables, and yard waste from residential and commercial routes throughout the Daytona Beach area. Responsibilities include proper handling of waste materials and maintaining clean streets, neighborhoods, and public spaces.
SUMMARY
Under direct supervision, collects residential and commercial refuse on assigned routes throughout Daytona Beach and assists in the completion of daily service routes. Performs all related duties as assigned to support sanitation operations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Education equivalent to 8th grade
  • Ability to lift and handle up to 50 pounds consistently
  • Availability to work 4 ten hour shifts per week, including weekends and holidays as required
    Must be able to start immediately

NATURE OF WORK
Work involves heavy manual labor in the collection and disposal of garbage, recyclables, and yard debris. Employees operate as part of a sanitation crew servicing Daytona Beach routes. Duties require continuous physical activity, exposure to outdoor weather conditions, and handling of waste materials. Work is performed under the direction of the truck driver or crew leader.
ILLUSTRATIVE TASKS
  • Collects garbage, recyclables, and yard waste from residential neighborhoods and commercial locations in Daytona Beach
  • Performs curbside collection and disposal duties along assigned routes
  • Uses hand tools such as shovels and pitchforks to load waste materials
  • Rides on sanitation trucks and assists with unloading at designated landfill or recycling facilities
  • Supports truck operator with basic vehicle checks including fuel and fluid levels
  • Cleans sanitation trucks and equipment daily after route completion
  • Performs additional duties as required to support sanitation operations

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS
  • Ability to work in environments involving waste materials and strong odors
  • Ability to perform physically demanding labor for extended periods
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions common to the Daytona Beach area
  • Basic ability to use hand tools and follow safety procedures

COMPENSATION
  • Starting pay is $14.00 per hour
  • Overtime opportunities available at $21.00 per hour
