Job description

Job Summary:

A growing company is seeking an experienced VP of Sales to lead its Tampa operation and drive continued sales growth. This is a hands-on player/coach leadership role for a technically strong sales leader with experience in industrial fluid power products. The ideal candidate will lead the sales team, develop new business, grow key accounts, and provide technical support to customers and the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coach Inside Sales and Outside Sales teams.
  • Drive new business development and growth within existing accounts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industrial, MRO, plant, and OEM customers.
  • Provide technical expertise in hose assemblies, fittings, hydraulics, pneumatics and fluid power applications.
  • Support application engineering, troubleshooting, and customer solutions.
  • Manage pricing, margins, and branch P&L.
  • Develop sales strategies and identify opportunities to expand market share.
  • Spend 2–3 days per week in the field with customers and prospects.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial fluid power or hose sales or management.
  • 3+ years of experience leading technical sales teams.
  • Strong knowledge of fluid power products such as hoses, assemblies, fittings, and hydraulic and pneumatic products.
  • Strong application engineering and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven success in new business development and account growth.
  • Experience coaching and developing ISR/OSR teams.
  • Experience with pricing, margins, and P&L management.
  • Experience working with plant, MRO, OEM, or manufacturing customers.

Preferred:

  • Established Florida or Southeast customer network.
  • Experience in construction, marine, manufacturing, fleet, or heavy equipment.
  • Multi-site leadership experience.
  • NAHAD experience.

Location: This is an on-site opportunity in Tampa, Florida, with 2–3 days per week in the field.

Compensation: $110,000–$115,000 + bonus
