This role is paid on an hourly basis with a range of $40-$58 and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable laws. The expected approximate annualized compensation range is $85,000–$120,000.

Summary of Position

As a Senior Electrical Power Systems Designer, supporting our Architecture and Engineering business unit, you will join the Power Systems team specializing in end-of-life analyses, short circuit coordination, arc flash analyses, and other specialized calculations. The Electrical Engineering Designer - Power Systems is responsible for implementing these aspects into electrical engineering projects under the guidance of Electrical Engineers/Project Managers. As part of a multi-disciplined firm, you will be coordinating with Site/Civil Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Structural Engineers, Architects and Construction Project Managers. You will be responsible for the production of electrical engineering construction documents while adhering to client requirements, code requirements and site adjustments.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with design tasks and reports under the direction of senior staff.
  • Conduct site feasibility research and site visit investigations.
  • Generate reports and recommendations based on findings.
  • Assist in maintaining task budgets.
  • Assist in coordinating the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project.
  • Organize and maintain project files.
  • Other related responsibilities as necessary to fulfill the objectives of this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical power systems design, preferably with commercial project experience such as retail, pharmaceutical, grocery, industrial, data center, etc.
  • EIT preferred
  • Revit required
  • AutoCAD and SKM PowerTools is a plus
  • Familiar with different kinds of electrical equipment such as switchgear, MCCs, generators, VFDs, UPS, is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to identify practical uses for company-approved AI tools to improve team processes, support better decisions, and increase efficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to review AI-generated content for accuracy, protect confidential information, and remain responsible for the final work product

Work Location

This can be either a remote or hybrid (1 to 2 days a week in the office) position based out of any CSG office.
