Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. The cashier will be the first point of contact for our customers, ensuring they have a positive experience from the moment they walk in. Responsibilities include processing orders accurately, handling payments, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a warm and welcoming manner.
- Take customer orders quickly and accurately, both in-store and over the phone.
- Enter orders into the POS system (Toast).
- Handle cash, credit, and mobile payments; provide correct change and receipts.
- Collect and record customer phone numbers for marketing purposes on every order.
- Answer customer questions about the menu, promotions, and specials.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure order accuracy and efficiency.
- Keep the front counter, register area, and beverage stations clean and stocked.
- Follow company policies for handling food, cash, and customer data.
- Resolve basic customer complaints or escalate to a manager when necessary.
- Assist with packaging and handing out orders when needed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a cashier or customer service role preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
