) Primary Vascular Care is a specialized vascular group dedicated exclusively to serving the long-term care space. We bring a clinic-like experience-providing advanced vascular care-directly into nursing homes.
  • Personalized bedside care minimizes the need for patients to leave their familiar environment.
  • From routine vascular assessments to advanced procedures, our team ensures comprehensive, high-quality care for all our patients.

Primary Vascular Care is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN). This role operates on an as-needed (PRN) schedule.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document the care of the client pre-op, intra-op, and post-surgery
  • Assess and evaluate the patient
  • Monitor the patient continuously during their recovery phase
  • Document all nursing activities and write nursing discharge notes when the physician documents that the patient is ready to be transferred to the progressive recovery room
  • Assist the anesthesiologist or other attending physician as needed
  • Collaborate and ensure that all equipment and necessary supplies are stocked and readily available

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required
  • Current Registered Nurse License required
  • Moderate (Conscious) Sedation Certification preferred
  • BLS - Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association required
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support the American Heart Association required
  • Physical, Vaccines and Titers: PPD/TB, Hep B, MMR, Varicella required
  • COVID and Flu Vaccine preferred
  • Minimum of 1+ years of recovery room experience in the following areas: Intensive Care, Critical Care, Emergency Room, Interventional Radiology, or Ambulatory Surgery
  • Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served in the Center
  • Must demonstrate the knowledge of the principle of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the Centers policies and procedures
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common professional and technical journals and legal documents
  • Ability to respond to common injuries or complaints from patients, regulatory agencies
  • Ability to effectively present information to management
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of basic mathematics
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills in the nursing process and Infection Control
  • Demonstrates the ability to utilize recognized channels of communication
  • Demonstrates the ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients, co-workers, and other health team members
  • Experience with vascular or outpatient surgery centers preferred
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills
