Description

POSITION FUNCTION: 

Responsible for setting up, repairing and maintaining all lettershop equipment to maximize production throughput. 


SCHEDULE:

Monday - Friday 6 am - 2 pm


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Set up FlowMaster and Pitney Bowes Mailstream inserters to job specifications for simple to complex jobs to provide maximum machine rate based on job estimate and materials. Set up also requires preparation of finishing equipment such as folders, sheeters, and read and print systems. 
  2. Respond to all machine problems and signal lights and make adjustments as necessary.  Continuously monitor the lettershop equipment and work toward achieving optimum machine capability.  
  3. Perform regular machine maintenance according to departmental schedules to keep all equipment in proper repair.  Maintain inventory of parts and materials to minimize downtime. 
  4. Perform maintenance on stamp and meter heads as well as bases.  
  5. Set up and maintain camera systems and read and print systems. 
  6. Assist and train Machine Operators to fix simple mechanical problems on the equipment 
  7. Maintain a neat and organized work area as well as keep equipment in best condition possible.  
  8. As necessary, rebuild equipment and parts to maximize operational efficiency and cost efficacy.   
  9. Completes other various duties as assigned by supervisor.  
  10. Adheres to all Security Policies and Procedures as referenced in the Employee Security Handbook. 

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 3-5 years' experience setting up and repairing Flow master or similar inserting equipment. 
  • Demonstrated mechanical and electronic abilities 
  • Demonstrated problem solving and machine troubleshooting abilities 
  • Mathematical skills 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  • Manual dexterity to perform machine adjustments 
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.  
  • Ability to bend, push, pull and pick up 50 lbs. of materials.  
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate machines and equipment. 

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

Standard manufacturing environment, personal protective equipment required in some areas for safe hearing precautions. Onsite full-time schedule.
