Hospital Operations & Facilities Director

Full-Time Salaried Position

Northwest Florida Community Hospital – Chipley, Florida

Northwest Florida Community Hospital is seeking a motivated and experienced Property Operations Manager to join our team full-time. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, safety, and appearance of hospital buildings, grounds, and facility systems to ensure a safe and efficient environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in facility operations, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a healthcare environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of hospital and clinic property management, maintenance, and facility services
  • Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate department schedules and assignments
  • Ensure hospital and clinic buildings, grounds, equipment, and utility systems are properly maintained and compliant with regulatory standards
  • Coordinate repairs, preventative maintenance, and emergency maintenance response
  • Manage vendor relationships, contractors, and service agreements
  • Monitor facility safety and participate in emergency preparedness planning
  • Assist with regulatory compliance including Joint Commission, OSHA, life safety, and environmental standards
  • Oversee facility improvement projects, renovations, and construction activities
  • Maintain records related to inspections, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation
  • Collaborate with department leaders to address facility concerns and operational needs
  • Monitor inventory and ordering of maintenance supplies and equipment
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities as needed for facility emergencies
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s degree or technical training in facilities management, construction, engineering, or related field preferred
  • Previous hospital or healthcare facility management experience preferred
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, safety systems, and general maintenance operations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively in emergency situations
  • Valid driver’s license required
Schedule
  • Full-Time Salaried Position
  • Primarily Monday – Friday business hours
  • Must be available for occasional evenings, weekends, and emergency call situations as needed
