FLOOR MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

The Floor Manager acts as co-owner of the Retail Store Operational Plan in collaboration with the General Manager and is responsible for ensuring that performance objectives are met. A key aspect of the role is to maximize all sales opportunities by matching the “right sales associate” to the “right guest”. In your role you will address or delegate customer concerns by following Robbins Brothers policies and procedures. The Floor Manager maintains a continual awareness of security concerns involved in operating the store.

The Floor Manager collaborates with the General Manager in all aspects of the store’s operation. Partners with all other functional heads to achieve company objectives. You will assist in the screening and interviewing of store associate candidates. A central responsibility for the Floor Manager is to train store associates and provide long-term coaching for their professional development. You will give specific input for sales associates performance evaluation and succession planning.

The Floor Manager demonstrates both sales and management competencies and acts in the best interest of the Robbins Brothers organization at all times.

Primary Responsibilities

Sales Performance • Completes all required on-boarding and assigned training modules in the prescribed timeframe. • Completes all required sales training and education programs provided by the company. • Demonstrates motivation and a drive for results. • Crafts sales request, adeptly handles counter offers to reach mutual agreement, engages managers and team members for sales support at appropriate time, and adheres to company policies and procedures. • Explores product options on behalf of guest's request and utilizes resources to craft optimal sale. • Exhibits the capability to close the sale and follows through to ensure all documentation meets required company policies and procedures. • Achieves individual monthly sales quotas as required. • Maximizes gross margin when negotiating and closing the sale. • Increases store revenue by maximizing design and service center offerings. • Maximizes average sale with each guest. • Establishes a professional network by developing and maintaining ongoing relationships with guests, peers, and designers to increase sales. • Demonstrates a balance between achieving individual sales goals and objectives and performing store management responsibilities. • Ensures the delivery of the legendary Robbins Brothers Experience.

People Development and Sales Management • Guides employees in all aspects of the business, as required for the role and in coordination with the general manager. • Creates a positive work environment and fosters a culture of teamwork and collaboration among associates. • Communicates effectively with team and sets clear expectations. • Demonstrates a high level of proficiency attracting and evaluating sales talent. • Facilitates effective sales associate hiring and retention. • Holds employees accountable for sales targets, strategic goals, and personal improvement expectations. • Facilitates skill development of sales associates by providing clear, behaviorally specific performance feedback, and by making or eliciting specific suggestions for improvement in a manner that builds confidence and maintains self-esteem. • Master’s the utilization of the Salesforce system and coaches’ sales associates in the appropriate use of Salesforce tools.

Merchandise Management • Completes the required product training in the timeframe specified. • Exhibits personal initiative to acquire expert product knowledge and stays up to date on incoming merchandise. • Demonstrates the ability to sell all product categories, and coaches sales associates to accomplish the same. • Utilizes best practices for merchandise displays and adheres to Robbins Brothers visual guide. • Partners with general manager to coach sale associates in merchandise display best practices. • Demonstrates and maintains Robbins Brothers quality control and security standards when handling merchandise. • Coaches sale associates maximize gross margin when exploring product options and utilizes resources to craft optimal sale. • Adheres to product handling processes and procedures, ensures documentation policies are followed and coaches sales associates to perform the same.

Store Maintenance • Adheres to store operational guidelines to ensure optimal guest experience. • Manage store maintenance concerns without delay.
