Job description

We're a 30 year old, family owned and operated flooring company in Olathe. Three employees. No layers, no bureaucracy, no one looking over your shoulder. We've got the crews and the process dialed in — we need someone to own commercial and grow it.

What you'll do

  • Build relationships with the restoration companies we don't currently have. This starts cold. 10–20 calls a day, roughly 5 hours a week of real prospecting.
  • Bid jobs — mostly commercial in the $25K–$100K range, with retail and residential work mixed in. You'll manage our offshore takeoff resource, then source pricing from vendors yourself.
  • Project manage everything you sell — schedule crews, coordinate material, own the outcome from handshake to punch list.
  • Pitch in. Small company. If someone's out, you might run the forklift or drive the van for twenty minutes. If that's beneath you, this isn't your job.

Pay, honestly
$52,000 base plus 10% of the net profit on every job you manage. Year one, most people land in the $60–70K range while the pipeline gets built. This role rewards patience — the accounts you develop in year one pay you in years two through five, and earnings should keep climbing as those relationships mature. We're not going to promise you $100K in month six.

What we need

  • Self-starter. Genuinely. You'll get weekly direction from the owner for the first couple of months. After that you're running your own book. If you need a manager to structure your day, you won't make it here.
  • Comfortable picking up the phone with people who didn't ask you to call.
  • Organized enough to juggle multiple jobs, crews, and deadlines at once.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Background check and drug screen required.
  • Construction or flooring experience preferred, not required. We'll train the trade. We can't train hustle.

Forklift training provided. You'll report to the owner and GM.

How to apply
Don't send a resume first. Record a voice memo — about one minute — telling us why you're a good fit, and text it to 4173151999. We listen to every one. If it lands, we'll set up an interview.
