JOB TITLE: Warehouse Team Lead
REPORTS TO: Warehouse Manager
LOCATION: 1413 Transport Drive, Raleigh, NC 27603
JOB TYPE: Full Time | Monday-Friday | 9:00AM-6:00PM

Job Summary:
The successful candidate has prior experience with various warehouse functions such as driving a forklift, inventory control, receiving & processing of incoming material, measuring and cutting flooring products, and loading material and supplies onto the vehicles of our subcontracted flooring installers. The person we're looking for has a positive attitude, is reliable, punctual and can lead a team. This person wants to be part of a fun and hard-working warehouse team that plays a key role in our company's success.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Initiates and coordinates all of the warehouse operations
  • Schedules and follows up on work results
  • Maintains warehouse inventory; tracks distribution by physical count and computer inventory. Computer proficient
  • Conducts cycle counts and periodic complete physical inventory
  • Re-orders supplies as needed
  • Receives and processes flooring products by unloading & loading trucks and updating inventory database. General data entry, even creating work orders as needed for load out
  • Verify accuracy of deliveries
  • Prepares flooring orders for pickup by subcontractors (measure, cut, label)
  • Prepares and loads flooring orders for delivery on company trucks
  • Processing the Exception Sheet
  • Organizing Cycle Counts Daily
  • Processing Open Order Report Daily
  • Processing Zero'd Roll Tags
  • Maintains warehouse vehicles and equipment by completing preventive maintenance and arranging repairs when necessary
  • Overseeing Warehouse when Manager is out and provides guidance to other warehouse employees
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of warehouse leadership and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to create and manage warehouse best practices
  • 2+ years of inventory control and inventory management experience, including ordering and tracking inventory using a database system, knowledge of a scanning gun for inventory location
  • 2 years prior Forklift experience, pallet jacks and other equipment as needed
  • Technology literate, able to use Gmail and the Google Drive
  • Knowledge of proper safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and warehouse best practices
  • Able to lift products that may weigh anywhere from 50 to 75 lbs. on a repetitive basis

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
