Job description

Barnes Aerospace OEM West Chester has an exciting and challenging career opportunity for Planning. The candidate will be responsible to help to expedite product on the shop floor to ensure customer satisfaction and delivery requirements are met. If you are an individual that is detail oriented, a team player and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, please submit your resume for further consideration.

Core Responsibilities: 

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Communicates and works cross functionally to ensure critical parts are prioritized through the required processes
  • Split rejected parts and add engineering instructions for necessary rework
  • Review inventory discrepancies and initiate corrective action
  • Review and process planned ERP messages to release required jobs to the floor daily per direction from master scheduler
  • Understand and communicate job shortages daily with a goal of 0 jobs past due to release
  • Produce serial numbers as required for jobs released
  • Provide delivery promises, understand/prioritize tool repairs with engineering manager
  • Experience with general functioning of an ERP system—Syteline experience preferred
  • Maintains respectful working relationship.
  • Perform all other similar and/or related duties as required.
  • Attend monthly forecast meeting and assist master schedule with monthly forecasting and commits related to customer demand
  • Participate and co-lead yearly physical inventory
  • Close jobs daily and review material discrepancies as required
  • Print and staple jobs daily
  • Communicate with outside vendors for delivery commits
  • Support dispatch list improvement and development as required

Qualifications: 

  •  2 years’ experience in manufacturing environment preferably for an aerospace organization.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.  Ability to be trained in usage of Syteline ERP system
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize critical responsibilities
  • Excellent typing skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Education Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
