About the Role

We're looking for someone with extensive retail experience, optimally in a bookstore, to join our leadership team as a Floor Manager. In this role, which reports to our General Manager, you'll be responsible for providing leadership on the bookstore floor. You'll be responsible for supervising booksellers and ensuring we provide consistently exceptional customer service. Beyond this, your primary duties will include:

  • Shelving and restocking books, branded merchandise and non-book sidelines
  • Receiving shipments into inventory
  • Book returns to publishers
  • Product inventories
  • Coaching and developing team members
  • Senior leader on the sales floor responsible for handling customer queries

Ideally, you'll have experience working in bookstores, and experience with Bookmanager, our point-of-sale system. Although this is not required. You'll need to be adept at providing extraordinary customer service, a point of pride here at Kramers. Deep knowledge in 1-2 genres is important. It's okay if you're a little independent and a little quirky - so are we, you'll fit right in!

We are open Monday through Saturday, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM. This is a full-time position with 32-40 hours per week.
