Job Summary:
Our restaurant/bakery is seeking a dedicated and motivated Floor Manager to oversee front-of-house operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and lead our team in providing a warm, welcoming experience for guests. The Floor Manager will ensure smooth day-to-day operations on the floor, coordinate with kitchen staff, and handle customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism. This role is ideal for a proactive leader with strong interpersonal skills, a passion for hospitality, and an eye for detail.
Role & Responsibilities
Ensure outstanding service for all guests by actively engaging with customers, addressing any complaints or issues, and maintaining high standards of service and hospitality.
Monitor and respond to guest feedback to continuously improve the dining experience.
Supervise and support floor staff, including servers, baristas, and bussers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Conduct training sessions for new hires and provide ongoing coaching to uphold service and quality standards.
Schedule shifts and manage daily floor staffing to ensure efficient service during peak and off-peak times.
Oversee the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the dining area to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
Collaborate with kitchen and bakery staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages and manage any service delays.
Monitor inventory levels for front-of-house supplies and coordinate with management for timely restocking.
Promote daily specials and seasonal items to guests to drive sales and increase customer engagement.
Support marketing initiatives and loyalty programs to attract and retain customers.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, addressing any issues promptly.
Requirements & Physical Demands
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality management is a plus.
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant, bakery, or similar hospitality setting.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with an ability to motivate and develop staff.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
