Bathroom Installer Assistant | San Diego County

The Bathroom Installer Assistant plays a key role in helping execute wet area remodels (showers, tubs, and walk-in tubs). You’ll be hands-on with a variety of tasks—from job site prep and demolition to framing, plumbing, and installing new fixtures. Start as an Assistant, with the opportunity to transition into an Apprentice role in as little as 8 months. Apprentices can move up to an Installer position in 6-12 months. Once you become an Installer, you can routinely earn $125,000 or more per year.

Our Services: Wet Area Remodeling (Showers, Tubs & Walk-in Tubs)

Reports to: This position reports directly to Production Manager
What You’ll Do:

  • Job site preparation, including supply runs, preparing tools and materials, and setting up dust control and floor protection.

  • Demolition of existing wet area.

  • Haul debris and ensure proper disposal.

  • Execute wet area remodel, including, but not limited to building walls, set shower pans/tubs, install glass, cut panels and install them to walls, etc).

  • Perform carpentry work, including framing and other relevant tasks.

  • Perform plumbing work, ensuring functionality and compliance with plumbing codes.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure work environment.

  • Ensure the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

  • You might be assigned to other duties as needed.

Physical Demands and Abilities Needed:

  • Regularly lift and/or move objects from 10-80 lbs at a constant pace.

  • Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.

  • Able to bend, lift, push, pull and reach for up to 8 hours at a time.

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.

  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.

What You Should Know:

  • Compensation: DOE - $18 - $22 per hour, based on experience.
  • Paid Weekly
  • Weekly stipend to cover gas and tools
  • Schedule: 10-hour shifts, four days a week
    • from 7:00am to 5:30pm
    • Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday
    • 3-day weekend every week.
  • 8 paid holidays
  • 50 hrs of sick time
  • 401(k): Eligible to participate in the company 401(k) after 90 days!
  • Insurance Plans: Access to company insurance plans; purchase health, dental and vision in with pre-tax dollars and at a lower rate.
  • Medical Contribution: The Company will contribute 50% of the cost of the lowest plan. These plans are offered through Anthem Blue Cross, Kaiser, and Mediexel.

What you need

  • Owning your own tools is a major plus, but not required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, proof of auto insurance and reliable transportation. You will be required to drive your own vehicle to the job site.
  • To become an Installer you will required to have a full-sized truck or van and own tools.

The successful candidate will be subject to our pre-employment background screening process, including, but not limited to criminal background check, drug screening, and driving record check. Knowledge on how to use tools required for jobs.
