Magnolia Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to support General Practice or Emergency Services. This position is designed for a technician who values clinical variety, steady workflow, and collaboration across teams. If you are adaptable, organized, and clinically confident, this role offers both structure and diversity within a hospital setting.
About The Role:
The Veterinary Technician provides skilled nursing support where patient need is greatest on a given day, wellness appointments, sick visits, urgent drop-offs, emergency triage, procedures, and hospitalized patient care. You will move between departments with clarity and professionalism, helping maintain consistent standards across services.

What You'll Do:

  • Place IV catheters and perform venipuncture
  • Administer medications and vaccinations as directed
  • Perform in-house lab diagnostics (CBC, chemistry, urinalysis, cytology)
  • Obtain quality radiographs
  • Assist with procedural sedation and anesthesia monitoring
  • Provide clear discharge instructions and preventive care education
You will support efficiency in GP appointments while maintaining thoroughness and patient-centered care.

  • Assist with patient stabilization and urgent procedures
  • Calculate and administer emergency medications and fluid therapy
  • Monitor anesthesia and sedation in urgent cases
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and recognize early signs of decompensation
  • Initiate and perform Basic Life Support (CPR) when indicated
  • Maintain accurate treatment sheets and ensure clear handoffs
What We're Looking For:
  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT, CVT, or RVT) in good standing
  • Strong foundation in anesthesia, medical math, and pharmacology
  • Ability to prioritize and shift focus efficiently during busy days
  • Comfort with both routine preventive care and urgent stabilization
  • Professional, calm communicator with clients and colleagues
  • Team-oriented and adaptable mindset
Technicians who thrive in this role are steady, prepared, and confident moving between structured GP appointments and the variability of ER medicine.
What's in it for you?
  • Competitive pay, based on experience
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance (some plans include free outpatient mental health care)
  • Generous CE allowance + paid CE time
  • Uniform allowance
