Job description

Security Officer Flex Weekdays/Weekends

Starting pay for this position is $17.00/hour.

The schedule for this position is for a flex officer who is available for coverage between the timeframes of Monday-Friday, 1400-2200 and Weekends 0600-2300.

The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of people, property, and assets at the assigned site. This role requires a heightened level of awareness, professionalism, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents. The security officer will monitor access points, patrol designated areas, enforce site rules, and assist in emergency response situations. A floater security officer is expected to work different posts and different schedules, based on shift openings and availability.

Responsibilities

· Monitor and control access to buildings, facilities, or restricted areas.

· Conduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols to ensure site safety.

· Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or security incidents.

· Write detailed and accurate incident reports.

· Enforce rules, regulations, and procedures as directed by site management.

· Assist with emergency evacuations and provide support during crises.

· Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or potential threats.

· Operate security equipment such as CCTV systems, radios, and alarm panels.

· Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and clients in a professional manner.

· Work collaboratively with law enforcement, fire, or medical personnel when needed.
