About the Role

The Per Diem Phlebotomist Float is an ideal opportunity for those seeking to be an integral part of a fertility patient’s journey toward becoming a parent. If you are customer service-minded, compassionate, and enjoy a fast-paced environment with a variety of responsibilities, this role is for you. As a Per Diem Phlebotomist Float at Pinnacle Fertility, you’ll engage with patients throughout their journey while working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional care and service.

We are seeking a Per Diem Phlebotomist Float to join our dedicated team at Pinnacle Fertility - Illinois in supporting locations in Milwaukee, WI and Buffalo Grove, IL. This is a per diem, onsite position that requires the flexibility to support both locations and availability to work shifts during the hours outlined below.

Milwaukee, WI - Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 6:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Buffalo Grove, IL - Tuesday, Thursday: 6:30 AM – 10:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and skin punctures to collect blood samples from patients of all ages.

  • Properly identify patients, label samples, and ensure accurate documentation.

  • Prepare and transport blood samples for lab testing following protocols.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with infection control and safety standards.

  • Provide clear instructions and reassurance to patients during procedures.

  • Monitor and maintain phlebotomy supply inventory.

  • Collaborate with laboratory and clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate results.

  • Adhere to all lab policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Education & Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Completion of a certified phlebotomy training program or nationally recognized phlebotomy certification (e.g., ASCP, NHA, AMT) preferred.
    • 1–2 years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and clinical staff.
    • Proficiency in maintaining lab safety and infection control standards.
    • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Hourly Rate: $21.00 to $25.00 per hour (final offers based on experience, skills, and qualifications).
