This position is ideal for someone with previous banking experience who enjoys variety, is comfortable working in multiple branch environments, and is committed to providing exceptional service to customers throughout the Bank's service area.
Job Summary
As a Float Teller, you will provide teller coverage and customer service support throughout Mountain Valley Bank's branch network as staffing needs arise. While assigned a designated home branch, this position is expected to travel and work at any Mountain Valley Bank location as directed by management. The Float Teller will perform teller duties, assist customers with a variety of banking transactions, and help ensure consistent service levels across all branch locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Teller Operations
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cash advances, official checks, and other teller transactions.
- Maintain and balance cash drawer daily and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, security requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Customer Service
- Provide exceptional customer service and build positive customer relationships.
- Assist customers with account inquiries, problem resolution, and basic product and service information.
- Identify opportunities to refer customers to appropriate bank products and services.
- Branch Coverage
- Travel to and work from any Mountain Valley Bank branch location as assigned.
- Provide coverage for planned absences, unplanned absences, staffing shortages, training events, and other operational needs.
- Quickly adapt to varying branch environments, customer volumes, and operational requirements.
- Team Support
- Assist with training and supporting Teller I employees when appropriate.
- Foster teamwork and collaboration across all branch locations.
- Serve as a positive representative of Mountain Valley Bank at all assigned locations.
- Operational Support
