ICU Registered Nurse - Critical Care Float Pool Contract Job in Trenton, New Jersey

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for an 8-week contract opportunity in Trenton, New Jersey. This on-site critical care nursing role supports a Critical Care Float Pool and involves floating between regional campuses as needed, specifically RMC and Hopewell Campuses, with possible float to MST if needed, while delivering high-quality patient care in fast-paced acute care environments. ICU Registered Nurse Requirements
  • 2+ years of current ICU and medical-surgical telemetry (MST) experience required
  • Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Current ACLS certification required
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
  • Flu vaccination required
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different critical care environments and patient populations
Critical Care Nurse Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the Critical Care Float Pool, floating between RMC and Hopewell Campuses, with possible float to MST if needed
  • Float between assigned campuses based on patient care needs and staffing demands
  • Assess, monitor, and document patient condition accurately and promptly in Cerner
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with provider orders and clinical protocols
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support safe, effective, and compassionate patient care
  • Respond appropriately to changes in patient status and emergency situations
  • Maintain compliance with unit standards, documentation requirements, and infection prevention practices
