Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool position at a Magnet-recognized children's hospital in Oregon, requiring critical care experience and the ability to float across multiple pediatric units including PICU and NICU.

Details
  • Float Pool position covering multiple pediatric units within a Magnet-recognized children's hospital
  • Units include: Pediatric Acute Care Surgical (PACS), Pediatric Acute Care Medical (PACM), Pediatric Intermediate Care (PIMC), Pediatric Oncology (Hem/Onc), Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU), and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • Patient population spans acute, intermediate, oncology, neonatal, and critical care pediatric patients
  • Floating to a nearby affiliate hospital may also be required
  • Patient ratios of 1โ€“2:4 depending on unit assignment
  • Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00โ€“07:30)
  • Every other weekend coverage required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • 13-week contract with the option to extend beyond 13 weeks
Requirements
  • Active Oregon (OR) RN license required
  • Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, and PALS
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years preferred
  • Critical care experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required (Charge RN references are not acceptable)
Additional Information
  • As a float pool traveler, you will rotate across the full spectrum of pediatric care units based on patient and staffing needs
  • Refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
  • COVID vaccination proof required with no exemptions accepted
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate โ€” no radius restriction applies
  • Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront and may not exceed 2 weeks
  • Candidates who were previously employed or on assignment at this health system must have a reference completed by the OHSU manager who previously supervised them
  • Former OHSU employees or travelers must have been gone at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
