Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential: Required
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license: Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI-BLS) certification: Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS OR HS-ACLS OR RQI-ACLS) certification: Required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification: Preferred
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS OR HS-PALS OR RQI-PALS) certification: Preferred
- Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification: Preferred
- 3 years of experience preferred
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to patients as per guidelines and protocols.
- Administer prescribed respiratory therapy treatments and modalities.
- Monitor and document patient responses to treatment, modifying plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care strategies.
- Educate patients and families about respiratory care processes and preventive measures.
- Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
