Job Summary
Manages and promotes internships, fellowships, co-ops, service-learning, and studio-based experiential learning opportunities primarily through experiential learning (EL) platforms while collaborating closely with campus partners. Serves as a resource for students, faculty, and employers, supporting engagement with experiential learning programs. Contributes to the development, assessment, and promotion of experiential learning resources and events to ensure alignment with department and University goals, helping students build career readiness skills and meaningful professional experiences.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Serves as the primary contact for students exploring experiential learning opportunities, including internships, fellowships, co-ops, service-learning, studio-based coursework, and on-campus positions
2. Reviews, approves, and manages experiential learning opportunities, ensuring compliance with institutional guidelines, standards, and eligibility criteria
3. Track student participation, processes forms, and manages deadlines
4. Engages directly with employers to understand internship and co-op opportunities, application processes, hiring timelines, and professional development expectations
5. Collaborates with campus departments, faculty, and student organizations to identify, evaluate, and promote experiential learning opportunities aligned with students' academic and career goals
6. Develops and delivers experiential learning programming, including workshops, presentations, classroom sessions, tabling initiatives, and outreach activities for students and employers
7. Designs and facilitates presentations to guide students and employers on experiential learning opportunities, academic credit requirements, and career readiness skills
8. Audit, evaluate, and improve experiential learning platforms and resources, researching emerging tools, enhancing usability, and promoting engagement among students, faculty, and staff.
9. Track and report on experiential learning participation, maintaining databases and preparing statistical and program evaluation reports.
10. Support broader career readiness initiatives, fostering an inclusive environment that encourages student participation across disciplines and backgrounds.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license
Required Experience
Two (2) years of experience in higher education programming or a closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of Handshake, Banner, Degree Works, Owl Express or other higher education student information systems
Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Proposed Salary
The budgeted salary range for this role is $46,000-$52,000 annually. Offers are based on relevant experience.
