At Piedmont Airlines, our strength is in the way we deliver industry-leading service to our customers and airline partners. To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, knowledgeable leader to join our team as a Flight Attendant Instructor. Flight Attendant Instructors utilize their strong communication skills to assist in the presentation of all flight attendant training curricula and proficiency checks. This position also promotes and communicates safety information throughout the organization. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational, project management, and leadership skills. This position reports to the Program Manager, Inflight Technology and Training.

Essential Duties:

  • Support the training department with the administration, development, and presentation of all flight attendant training curricula

  • Instruct flight attendant ground training programs

  • Always maintain an open-door policy with line flight attendants to assist in clarifying any information on company policies and procedures

  • Conduct flight attendant Initial Operating Experience and Line Proficiency Checks

  • Promote and communicate safety information throughout the organization

Job Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Possess appropriate knowledge, experience, training, and demonstrated ability to instruct flight attendants in curriculum segments

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills

  • Possess strong organizational and project management skills

  • Possess strong computer, analytic, and adaptability skills across a range of professional settings

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and flexibility to handle frequent changes in schedules and job functions

  • Maintain flight attendant qualification

  • Maintain Air Transportation Ground Instructor (ATGI) qualification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Previous management experience

  • Previous flight attendant or flight attendant training experience

  • Previous teaching or instructing experience

Work Environment:

  • Standard office environment, use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment

  • Aircraft cabin and airport terminal environment, subject to extreme temperatures and weather conditions

  • Ability to work a flexible rotating schedule encompassing all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts may last up to 14 hours, based on job demands

  • Some travel may be required

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to speak loudly and hear in noisy work environments

  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, climb up and down stairs, lift weight up to 50 pounds, reach with hands and arms

  • Ability to adequately perform all safety functions and physical demands of the flight attendant position
