Job description

Priority Wire & Cable, a leading supplier of wire and cable in the U.S. and Canada, is seeking a Flight Attendant based in Little Rock, AR, to be responsible for all required in-flight service during flights both domestic and international. Some flight attendant experience is a plus but not required. We will consider and train someone with a strong customer service background who wants to be a flight attendant.
The successful candidate will attend to airplane passengers to ensure their safety & security while on the aircraft. Serves beverages and food and keeps the cabin clean for passengers' comfort. Maintains supplies on the plane. Will report to either the senior pilot or head of the flight department. Works independently within established flight program procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies of in-flight support relevant to the job. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2+ years of related experience.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
  • Individual contributor that works cohesively with the flight operations team and customers alike.
  • Demonstrates the use of emergency and safety equipment.
  • Serves beverages, meals and snacks.
  • Prepares the galley, restocks and cleans the cabin between flights.
  • Provides additional assistance to passengers with special needs.
  • Address passenger questions and ensure they adhere to all applicable rules during flight.
  • Reassures passengers during aircraft turbulence and tends to necessary safety measures.
  • Administers first aid and medical care if required, in the case of an emergency.
  • Provides instruction, including emergency evacuation procedures, to passengers.
  • Participates in pre-flight briefings to discuss flight details, weather, and service plans.
  • Performs pre-flight safety checks.
  • Greets passengers, assists with prompt location of seat assignments, and ensures all carry-on luggage and personal items are properly stowed as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • May direct contract flight attendant when needed.

Demonstrated Skill in:
  • Customer service.
  • Ability to learn and understand flight operation procedures, policies, and safety regulations.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and applicable flight software.
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving and leadership skills.
  • Remains calm in fast-paced, stressful and even emergency situations.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and is diligent about seeking resolution to issues.
  • Ability to be scheduled away from home of record for multiple consecutive days.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of customer service experience. Can be as a flight attendant, general customer service experience in hospitality (hotel, food and beverage), personal assistant, concierge or related experience.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Flight Attendant school is a plus but not required.
  • 75% travel required. Possess a valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
  • Ability to report for flight at the company's established time frame. Must have flexibility to be available due to an ever-changing schedule. Successful candidate will live within an hour of the hangar and be available on short notice.
  • Will be trained in CPR and First Aid.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in customer areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
