Graphic Packaging International is seeking candidates to join our Shelbyville, Illinois team in the role ofProduction Supervisor.Our supervisors, leading a team ofapproximately 25 employees, achieve:

  • evaluate job performance and recommend appropriate action.

Required Skills

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-5years of manufacturing supervisory experience, required.
  • Flexographic, Offset or Rotogravure Printing experience, required.

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor's degree(Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Business Administration, or related field); or significant, closely related work experience required in lieu of degree.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team through training, coaching, mentoring and counseling
  • Strong safety orientation
  • Demonstrated strategic, analytical problem-solving ability (TCC/Trouble Cause Correction)
  • Demonstrated timely, effective decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, adept at motivation and experienced at conflict resolution
  • Demonstrated knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S or other discipline)
  • Demonstrated communication skills, effective at all levels of the organization
  • Proficient computer skills,experienced withMicrosoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated ability to work independentlyand within teams
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across department and functions
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, without accommodation

Schedule Information:

  • OurProduction Supervisor schedule consists of 12-hour day shift or 12-hour night shift. This schedule includes every other weekend off. However, our supervisorswill occasionally work analternate schedule, including an opposite weekend.
