What is flexographic printing?

Flexographic printing is a modern printing process that uses flexible relief plates made of rubber or photopolymer to transfer ink onto a variety of substrates, including paper, plastic, film, and foil. It is commonly used for packaging materials, labels, and other products that require high-speed, high-volume production. This method is valued for its efficiency, versatility, and ability to print on non-porous materials. Flexographic printing presses can use water-based, solvent-based, or UV-curable inks, making them suitable for different applications and environmental requirements.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a flexographic printing operator?

To thrive as a Flexographic Printing Operator, you need a solid understanding of printing processes, color theory, and machinery operation, often supported by vocational training or relevant certifications.
