Our Maintenance Technicians support manufacturing operations to ensure equipment reliability and uptime in support of safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. It is an essential industrial maintenance role involving machine setup, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.PositionIndustrial Maintenance TechnicianLocationUSA, Selmer, TNHow You'll Create Possibilities

Essential Functions (Responsibilities): These duties are not all-inclusive and may change over time.

Follow safe work methods and procedures to avoid injury to self and co-workers or damage to company property, including use of all required personal protective equipment, following safety precautions (e.g. LOTO), ensuring machine guards, etc.

Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical equipment.

Perform preventive maintenance.

Complete shop records and use reporting systems following established procedures.

Provide quick response to maintenance requests and calls from maintenance leadership and manufacturing operations teams.

Follow proper housekeeping standards to ensure clean and organized maintenance work areas.

Operate motorized equipment, including but not limited to scissor lifts, JLGs, fork trucks, etc. (must pass Monogram's certification program)

Use a wide range of powered tools and hand tools and vibratory tools/equipment.

Fill out shift report.

Physical demands of the position include: Frequent handling and lifting of parts and equipment; constant reaching at waist level; frequent standing, walking, reaching at shoulder level, reaching at knee level, pushing/pulling, grasping, pinching, fine motor dexterity, and wrist flexion/extension; occasional sitting, reaching overhead, reaching at floor level, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs/ladders, pivoting, twisting, shoulder circumduction, and neck flexion/extension/rotation. Handling, lifting, and carrying parts/equipment - minimum of 50 lbs. lifting/carrying and 75 lbs. pushing/pulling.

Ability to work with parts/equipment which may be hot and/or wet.

Ability to work in a loud/noisy environment.

Perform associated and other duties as required.


What You'll Bring to Our Team

Qualifications/Requirements:

Must have a high school diploma, GED or GED equivalent and

Certified Journeyman with 2/5 years of experience in the following trade: Electrical/Industrial Maintenance associate's degree or equivalent in Electrical/Industrial Maintenance with at least 2/5 years of current hands-on working experience

Possesses experience working with 480V, 220V, 120V, and low volt DC electrical controls and systems

Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics

Technical certifications a strong plus

Mechanical aptitude - ability to understand basic mechanical concepts and relationships

Proven ability to work with these factors:

Perform work in a loud/noisy environment

Change shifts and work overtime and weekends, as required

Work with parts/equipment which may be hot, cold, and/or wet

Work outside in all weather conditions and work at heights

Use a wide range of powered tools and hand tools and vibratory tools/equipment

Perform the essential functions of the position, with or without accommodation, including, but not limited to:

Prolonged standing, frequently handling various parts for assembly, frequent walking, reaching waist level, pushing/pulling, grasping/squeezing, pinching

Have fine motor dexterity, neck flexion, and be able to use air tools

Be able to reach overhead, reach at shoulder level, reach at knee and floor level

Bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, crawling, ladder/stair climbing, pivoting, twisting, neck extension/rotation, and using vibratory tools also required

Preferred Requirements:

PLC experience. Understanding of PLC logic, performing minor editing and programming changes

Experience working with the following electrical diagrams: PLC logic, process flow diagrams, instrument flow diagrams and/or P&ID drawings

Experience working with Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Analog and digital AC/DC drive systems, pneumatic/hydraulic systems

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot VFD's and Servo Drives, setting and adjusting parameters and replacement of such devices
  • Operate a Machine, monitor a Machine, Interpret Machine Operation and Maintenance Documentation
  • Perform Machine Maintenance Procedures
  • Ability to do Equipment Lubrication
  • Selection of Proper Hand Tool for Task and Move, Handle, and Store Materials and Equipment
  • Systems Troubleshooting Methodologies
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance
  • Be able to prepare parts for welding, use an acetylene torch and SMAW welder, be able to do basic welding and pass inspection, use plasma cutter to cut flat stock
  • Possess experience working with 480V, 220V, 120V, and low volt DC electrical controls and systems and the ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
  • Use Dimensional Tools, Alignment and adjustment of a Gear Drive
  • Install, Align, and Adjust a Pillow Block Bearing
  • Interpret basic fluid power schematics, startup and shutdown a hydraulic system and adjust system pressure
  • Adjust hydraulic actuator speed using a flow control valve, service a hydraulic filter and fluid
  • Install and test components in a basic hydraulic circuit
  • Ability to use Predictive Maintenance Devices (ultrasound / thermography)
  • Adjust pneumatic system branch operating pressure using a regulator, adjust pneumatic actuator speed using a flow control valve
  • Service a pneumatic filter, pneumatic lubricator
  • Start up and shut down a reciprocating air compressor and adjust operating pressure
  • Install and test components in a basic pneumatic circuit and be able to troubleshoot
  • Interpret basic piping schematics, identify and select correct material, preparation, measurement, and installation of piping systems
