The Impact you will have in this role:


This role is critical in providing thought leadership and technical expertise of Blockchains and Web3 technologies across many DTCC functions and businesses. You will be responsible in designing, assessing, and building Web3 solutions for internal and external stakeholders. We are building the new evolution of the financial infrastructure globally and you will be in the center of it. 

Your Primary Responsibilities:
 

  • Architect Blockchain Solutions: Design end-to-end blockchain architectures for applications in digital assets, payments, settlement, identity, and smart contracts.
  • Technology Strategy: Define blockchain adoption strategies aligned with organizational goals, compliance standards, and market trends.
  • Solution Design & Integration: Develop solution blueprints integrating blockchain with existing banking systems, APIs, cloud services, and fintech platforms.
  • Technical Leadership: Collaborate with development teams to ensure architectural consistency, performance, and security across blockchain-based applications.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, compliance teams, and external partners to translate functional requirements into robust technical designs.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards (ISO 20022, PCI DSS, GDPR, AML/KYC) and best practices for cryptography, data privacy, and key management.
  • Proof-of-Concept Development: Lead prototype initiatives to evaluate new blockchain frameworks, consensus mechanisms, and interoperability protocols.
  • Documentation & Governance: Maintain architectural documentation, design patterns, and reference architectures for blockchain implementations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

Talents Needed for Success:

  • Minimum of 7 years in software architecture or solution design, with at least 3 years focused on blockchain or distributed ledger technologies.
  • Proven track record in financial services, banking, payments, or capital markets.
  • Hands-on experience with platforms such as Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric, Corda, or Polygon.
  • Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals: consensus algorithms, smart contracts, cryptography, and tokenization.
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices design.
  • Proficiency in API designintegration frameworks, and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of DeFiCBDCstablecoins, and digital asset custody is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset.
  • Ability to bridge business and technical perspectives effectively.
