Job Description
- Will be part of a fast-paced storage I/O R&D team creating andÂ
- maintaining tools for running experiments and process data in support of internal Pathfinding.Â
Daily Responsibilities:Â
- You will work as part of a SW development team to create and maintain solutions that support the product development and validation team members in their efforts to generate data for Pathfinding purposes. Most days will consist of implementing features, configuring experiments, collecting data in the lab, or debugging issues.Â
Qualifications
- Hardware SkillsÂ
- Good computer systems understanding (computer architecture)Â
- Ability to construct PC's and Servers from individual components according to specificationÂ
- Experience with SATA, NVMe I/O capture and analyzers is nice to haveÂ
- Software SkillsÂ
- C# and Python programming experience is a must.Â
- Java, Batch and Shell scripting is nice to have.Â
- Ability to install and configuring various OSs - Windows, Linux, OS X, AndroidÂ
- Ability to install and run Storage benchmark applicationsÂ
- Ability to work with general OS tools: WinPE, PowerShellÂ
- Group (STG) SkillsÂ
- Strong written and oral communication skillsÂ
- Strong technical skills - able to read a technical document and work through challengingÂ
- technical issues to deliver resultsÂ
- Review and verify results, defend results to outside groupsÂ
- Storage (SATA, SCSI, NVMe) protocol and/or device experienceÂ
- Experience debugging software in an embedded environmentÂ
- Gain knowledge and experience with STG custom tools: SRMU, Iometer, ETW tracing, etc.
