Talk Consult Behavioral Health Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our remote team. This full-time position offers mental health professionals the opportunity to make a profound difference in the lives of individuals facing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. As part of our commitment to providing high-quality mental health care, you will collaborate with clients to develop effective treatment plans and deliver evidence-based interventions.

About the Organization

Located in Illiopolis, Illinois, Talk Consult Behavioral Health Services is a leading community health clinic renowned for its comprehensive mental health services. We are deeply committed to fostering the emotional well-being of our diverse client base, including individuals, couples, and families. Our organization believes in creating a supportive environment that empowers clients to overcome their challenges and achieve long-lasting mental health and stability.

Work Environment

This position offers a flexible remote work setting, allowing therapists the convenience to provide therapy from the comfort of their own home. Despite the remote nature of the job, you will remain closely connected with your team through regular virtual meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities. Our work culture emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, and mutual support among staff, ensuring that you feel like an integral part of our mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, utilizing standardized tools and conversational methodologies.
  • Collaborate with clients to formulate personalized treatment plans that are aligned with their unique goals, needs, and therapeutic preferences.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address clients' specific difficulties and improve their mental health outcomes.
  • Educate and empower clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care practices.
  • Monitor client progress by maintaining accurate records, evaluating treatment efficacy, and adjusting plans as necessary based on their evolving needs.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Stay abreast of current research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders to continuously refine therapeutic strategies.
  • Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional training to foster professional growth and skills enhancement.
  • Advocate for clients' needs, support their journey towards recovery, and work towards reducing the stigma surrounding mental health issues.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with clients grappling with a spectrum of mood disorders including, but not limited to, depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Additionally, you may provide support to particularly vulnerable populations, such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. Your role will be vital in equipping these individuals with coping strategies and therapeutic support as they navigate their challenges.

Qualifications
  • An active and unrestricted state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
  • A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is essential to ensure a solid foundation for clinical practice.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are necessary, enabling you to establish trust and rapport with clients effectively.
  • Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental approach towards clients’ experiences to foster a safe therapeutic environment.
  • Possess strong organizational skills to manage clinical workload efficiently and maintain detailed client records.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with diverse populations and a deep understanding of the socio-cultural factors affecting mental health is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities targeting mood disorders will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
  • Prior experience in a remote or telehealth setting is advantageous in adapting to our online service delivery model.
Compensation and Benefits
  • The annual salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, a retirement savings plan, and health insurance coverage.
  • Access to professional development opportunities, including continuing education courses specific to addiction counseling and emerging therapies.
  • Thrive in a welcoming workplace culture that prioritizes teamwork and ongoing mentorship.
  • Be part of a team that is making a considerable impact on the lives of individuals striving for recovery and resilience.
