Are you ready to make this summer unforgettable? Camp Easterseals Virginia (ESVA) is the place for you! We’re hiring passionate and energetic Camp Counselors to join us in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of New Castle, VA. At Camp ESVA, you’ll build meaningful connections, spark joy, and play a key role in providing life-changing experiences for children and adults of all abilities.

Your Role in Our Mission:

As a Camp Counselor, you’ll help create a positive, inclusive environment for our campers. You’ll work closely with assigned camper(s) to support them in a variety of daily activities -everything from arts and crafts and adapted sports to swimming and campfires. You’ll also assist with personal care tasks like transfers, feeding, dressing, and other needs, ensuring that every camper has a safe, enjoyable experience.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required (some college coursework preferred)
  • Skills: Compassion, dedication, and a heart for helping others
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Physically able to lift and assist with transfers (up to 45 lbs) and assist with other personal care tasks. Must be comfortable with bending and kneeling.
  • Be able to commit to a minimum of 4 weeks at our camp!
