Job description

Dynamic Project Manager And Change Leader

This is a dynamic role for a professional who likes to wear multiple hatsโ€”Project Manager and Change Leaderโ€”to drive the successful delivery of enterprise technology initiatives. This role is pivotal in driving user adoption, managing change effectively, and ensuring smooth execution across multiple concurrent projects. The ideal candidate will also play a key role in maturing our delivery practicesโ€”introducing and coaching Agile and Kanban frameworks across Development and Infrastructure teams respectively.

Essential Functions:

Project Management

  • Provides management and strategic direction to a team and is responsible for project development, budget and schedule.
  • Establishes goals, negotiates project commitments and develops project plans.
  • Reviews and provides input into the project scope definition. Coordinates development and approval of the business and technical requirements documents.
  • Coordinates the formulation and definition of technical scope and objectives in collaboration with technical subject matter experts.
  • Assists with the resolution of issues and escalates those that may not have an established precedence.
  • Represents the company with contractors, suppliers, customers, departments, and other parties as required.
  • Coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget. Recommend and make adjustments to the project plan and staffing.
  • Monitors, measures, and reports on project progress to management and clients.

Agile & Kanban Coaching

  • Train and facilitate 2-week Agile sprints for the Development team, including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
  • Train and implement Kanban for the Infrastructure team, establishing workflow visibility, WIP limits, and continuous improvement cadences.
  • Work across both teams as a unifying change agent, driving process adoption and cultural alignment.

Change Leadership

  • Drive user adoption and engagement across enterprise system rollouts.
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and feedback loops.
  • Act as the primary advocate for change, securing buy-in from stakeholders at all levels.

AI-Enabled Productivity

  • Leverage AI tools (Microsoft Copilot and Claude) to improve personal productivity across project planning, documentation, communication, and reporting.
  • Train and coach team members on practical AI tool usage to drive efficiency gains across the organization.
  • Champion AI adoption as part of the broader change leadership mandate.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the liaison between internal teams and external partners.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership and project sponsors.

Education & Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of IT project and/or change management experience across enterprise implementations OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least 6 years of IT project management and/or change management experience across enterprise implementations.

  • Experience developing a project plan including the charter, scope, project management approach, management plans, statement of work, cost estimates, schedule.
  • Experience working with multiple teams and driving cross functional change
  • Experience running Agile sprints and Kanban workflows โ€” including training and coaching teams new to these frameworks.
  • Knowledge of ERP and CRM systems
  • Experience working with AI productivity tools, such as Microsoft Copilot and Claude or similar.
  • Experience training others on effective AI tool usage
  • Work primarily onsite in Hoffman Estates, IL, with up to 4 remote days per month

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lean project management experience
  • Experience managing a project budget of up to $250,000

Work Environment: While performing essential duties of this position an individual regularly works indoors in an office setting and may be required to sit for long periods. Individual will be required to regularly talk, hear, see and often reach with hands, stand, walk, use a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment. Noise level of the environment is generally quiet.
