Job description

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI), a leading power engineering consultant firm, is seeking a motivated individual to join our Tucson, AZ office as a Project manager. The chose engineer will work win an organized project team leading multiple engineers and drafters on projects in the design of transmission lines and foundations.
Responsibilities include providing necessary quality control/quality assurance of engineering and drawing deliverables associated with transmission lines including P&P's, foundation calculations and drawings, structure load calculations and drawings, design criteria documents, and other supporting documents as needed for transmission line construction packages. Should be able to make sound engineering decisions and judgement for the progress and success of a given project. Lead a team of engineers in assistance with assigned work development tasks including engineer proposals under the direction of a supervisor. Should be able to put together technical documents, project management reports, budget tracking, and schedule development.
Minimum Requirements: BSCE or CSME and 10 years' experience, or a M.S. degree in engineering with sufficient experience required for advancement as determined by management, or a combination of applicable education and experience as determined by management; professional registration (engineer or surveyor); demonstrated capability to effectively perform project management for large size engineering projects in a hands-on manner. The successful applicant must have proven effective verbal and written communication skills, proven excellent level of interpersonal skills, and ability to work individually and on a team. Must be detail oriented and possess a high level of organizational skills. Must possess a proven ability to work with confidential information and proven ability to exercise independent judgment. The successful applicant may be subject to client mandated drug and background checking. Occasional travel/driving will be required. Successful applicant is subject to ECI's auto insurance carrier requirements. Applicants must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B visa status) now or in the future.
