Job description


IT Specialist

The Greater Dayton School provides students an excellent education and is a national model in innovative instruction.  To continue our mission, we seek a highly skilled, high performing IT Specialist.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the school's network.
  • Protect data; manage firewall, antivirus software, security updates, and data backups.
  • Maintain technology hardware, repair equipment and devices as needed 
  • Install, setup, and configure equipment.
  • Support software, printing issues, equipment storage, and disposal.
  • Deploy, manage (including inventory and warranty), and maintenance of staff and student devices.
  • Install, update, and troubleshoot educational software, including licensing management.
  • Manage content filtering, learning management software, student information software, student device management, productivity apps, and other edtech platforms.
  • Support users with education sites and testing portals.
  • Manage Google Suite, Apple Classroom, and Clever organizational platform.
  • Offer helpdesk services for password resets, software installations, and technical issues.
  • Train new staff on device usage and support for productivity apps and educational software.
  • Maintain and support audio-visual equipment.
  • Install and configure interactive displays.
  • Create contingency plans and protocols for handling technology-related emergencies.
  • Support dismissal, security, transportation and visitor management software.

Compensation + Details:

  • Hours: 7:30a-4:30p, Monday-Friday, 12 months
  • Compensation: $70,000-$80,000 (based on experience)
