Job description

Job Description: Student Worker, Computer Lab
Department: Learning Innovation Pay Classification: $12/hr (PT)
Reports To: Instructional Designer FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Summary: Support daily operations of the computer labs.
Minimum Required
Education: Must be enrolled as a full-time Hill College student
Must maintain above a 2.0 GPA
Minimum Required
Experience: Customer service and basic computer skills
Core Duties and
Required Knowledge: Provides exceptional customer service. Performs computer lab service desk functions such as answering patron questions - phone, email, and in-person - managing borrowed materials and collecting lab usage statistics. Assists computer lab users with basic Microsoft Office application questions and general technology troubleshooting.
Strategic Vision and
Program Development: Assist with the implementation of lab initiatives, provide input on student needs, and help promote programs and services to their peers.
Collaboration: Work closely with Learning Innovation staff and lab visitors to ensure effective operations and a positive patron experience.
Demonstrates a commitment to maintaining a welcoming and safe environment that provides a sense of belonging for all.
Demonstrated Attributes: Dependability, reliability, strong communication and mentoring skills. Ability to work evenings as required. Enthusiasm for customer service and technology.
Other Information: This position may require flexible hours, including evenings and event days.
Physical Requirements: Light work: exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. The use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of force greater than that for light work.
Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
