Job description

The principal role of the Computer Lab Assistant is to answer and assist customers with technical and informational questions. The Computer Lab Assistant also maintains an atmosphere that is physically tidy and conducive to academic pursuits while enforcing Computer Lab, Information Technology, and Liberty University polices. The Computer Lab Assistant may also provide classroom support to professors and students.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

1. Assist customers with technical and informational questions.

2. Provide classroom support to professors and students.

3. Troubleshoot basic software and hardware issues.

4. Log/document work as required.

Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies

1. Promptness and reliability to follow scheduled hours.

2. Basic computer skills.

3. Experience with Microsoft Office software and standard office technologies.

4. Cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher.

5. Work Study eligibility for the current semester.

6. Previous customer service experience, preferred.

7. Previous computer troubleshooting experience, preferred.

8. Completion of INFT 110, BUSI 201, or similar technology course, preferred.
