The 'flexible' aspect typically means the technician is adaptable, able to work on various makes and models, and may travel between locations or handle different types of repairs, such as dent removal, paint touch-ups, and structural fixes. They often use a combination of traditional bodywork methods and modern technologies to ensure vehicles are returned to their pre-accident condition. Flexibility in scheduling and work environments is also a key part of this role, making it ideal for those who prefer variety in their job.

As a Flexible Auto Body Technician, you can expect to work on a wide range of vehicles including sedans, SUVs, trucks, and sometimes specialty vehicles depending on the shop's clientele. Your tasks may vary from minor dent repairs and paint touch-ups to more extensive collision damage restoration, frame straightening, and panel replacement. Flexibility often means adapting to changing priorities, collaborating closely with estimators, painters, and other technicians to ensure timely and high-quality repairs. This dynamic environment provides opportunities to continuously expand your skills and experience across different repair techniques and vehicle types.
