This role will report directly to the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
  • Adherence to MyLand's company values and behaviors.

  • Ensure that all operation and maintenance activities are performed in a safe manner consistent with established policies and procedures.

  • Participate in site surveys in coordination with the System Startup team.

  • Ability to safely install, repair, service, test, and troubleshoot plumbing, mechanical, and electrical equipment with assistance.

  • Test to ensure the systems working correctly, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and chemical applications.

  • Maintain relationships with growers and irrigators and support site tours of systems.

  • Coordinate system seasonal startup and shutdown with grower crop and irrigation cycles.

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and customer support activities on algae generation systems, working to maximize system uptime and distribution of algae.

  • Identify and order parts and supplies for scheduled maintenance needed for repairs

  • Perform record keeping and reporting on services performed.

  • Always maintain a clean and serviceable work area.

  • Must keep company assets (vehicle, outpost, hardware, tools, etc.) clean and maintained.

Requirements
Skills & Qualifications
  • 1 to 2 years technical service experience, apprenticeship, or relevant work experience

  • Ability to safely install, repair, service, test, and troubleshoot plumbing, mechanical, and electrical equipment.

  • Ability to work flexible and weekend hours to successfully complete installations and repairs.

  • Working knowledge of hand and power tools and personal protective equipment.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Excel).

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.

  • Must be able to lift, carry, transport equipment, tools, and materials up to 50 lbs alone, 150 lbs with a partner.

  • Must be able to sit, stand, and kneel/squat for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to work for extended periods of time outside in both hot and cold temperatures.
