As a Security Officer Armed - Flex Part Time in San Antonio, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, receiving zones, parking areas, and the perimeter, while observing for unusual activity and potential hazards.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Maintain a professional armed presence to help deter theft, trespassing, disorderly conduct, and other unauthorized activity.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Guard Card. 
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
