Job description

A rapidly growing and international Manufacturing company is currently hiring for a Optical Manufacturing Engineer!


The Optical Manufacturing Engineer serves as the senior technical expert for optical systems manufacturing.


Responsibilities:


  • Act as the subject matter expert for manufacturing engineering, providing technical leadership on production methods, process optimization, capacity planning, and manufacturing readiness for advanced products.
  • Develop and execute manufacturing engineering strategies that support the production of complex precision assemblies while aligning with business objectives, customer expectations, and operational goals.
  • Establish, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing standards, production processes, work instructions, routing documentation, and quality systems to ensure efficient, repeatable operations.
  • Lead production readiness activities for new product introductions, design changes, and manufacturing transitions, ensuring all manufacturing requirements are defined and validated prior to release.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field required; Master's degree or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 10โ€“15+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing, production, process, or industrial engineering, with a strong background in highly engineered, high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience supporting the production of complex products within optical systems, photonics, aerospace, defense, precision manufacturing, medical device, or other highly regulated industries.
