Position Summary:
The RN Circulator plans and performs all nursing care for patients who will undergo surgery and other invasive procedures. The RN Circulator will provide nursing care for assessment to outcome evaluation. Duties include: Assessing patients prior to surgery and alleviate their concerns; gather all supplies needed for the procedure; assume responsibility to maintain sterility of field and proper use of instrumentation; position and prepare patient on operating table; adhere to safety standards and precautions; anticipate the surgeon's needs need to ensure proper and timely surgical completion; remain vigilant for changes in patients conditions and act accordingly.
Analyzes data, determines time, place and sequence of healthcare or action to be taken on the basis of analysis of data; executing determination and/or reporting on events Use physical strength of hands, fingers, arms, and legs, to move patients or equipment. Will select appropriate health supplies, medical equipment to assure appropriate medical care.
Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program
  • California RN state license
  • BLS Certification
  • ACLS certification within 6 months of hire or transfer into job
  • PALS certification within 6 months of hire or transfer into job.
  • Ability to take On-Call during the week and work some weekends and holidays
