Pennsylvania Steel Division in PA is looking for a Driver / Warehouse Associate for our Stanley, NC location.

Position Summary for our Driver / Warehouse Associate opening:

The Driver/Warehouse Associate is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of steel products to customers while supporting daily warehouse operations.

This position requires a strong commitment to safety, customer service, accuracy, and teamwork.

Essential Responsibilities

Driving Duties:

  • Safely operate company trucks in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Load, transport, and deliver steel products accurately and on schedule.
  • Inspect vehicles before and after each trip and report maintenance needs.
  • Secure loads using proper chains, straps, and tie-down procedures.
  • Obtain customer signatures and complete all delivery paperwork.
  • Represent the company professionally while interacting with customers.

Warehouse Duties:

  • Receive, inspect, and unload incoming material.
  • Pull, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
  • Load customer pickups and delivery trucks safely and accurately.
  • Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment (training provided if necessary).
  • Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Keep warehouse, yard, and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license (CDL preferred if required by company operations).
  • Clean driving record.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Experience in steel distribution, manufacturing, or industrial warehouse operations is preferred.
  • Ability to read work orders and shipping documents accurately.
  • Basic math and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Safely handle long, heavy, and awkward steel products.
