Job description

At Amazon, our goal is to exceed the expectations of customers by ensuring that their orders are delivered where and when they need them, as quickly, accurately, and cost efficiently as possible. To meet this goal, Amazon is continually striving to innovate and provide best in class service through the introduction of pioneering new products and services in the last mile delivery space, including the continuous innovation and expansion of Amazon Flex program. Amazon Flex works directly with independent contractors - called delivery partners - to make deliveries to our customers.
Are you passionate about transforming how people learn at a global scale

We're looking for a Senior Learning Experience Designer to join our Worldwide Learning team within Amazon Flex. In this role, you'll define the strategy for and deliver interactive learning experiences that help delivery partners onboard faster, deliver safely, and succeed across 9+ countries. This isn't a traditional instructional design role.

You'll operate as a strategic partner to business stakeholders, balancing hands-on content authoring with program leadership - owning complex, multi-workstream initiatives end-to-end from needs assessment through design, development, localization, and launch. You'll set the standard for quality and innovation on the team, driving adoption of AI-powered content workflows, immersive formats, and scalable design systems. Your work will directly impact the experience of delivery partners and Amazon customers worldwide.
We're a high-output global team where every person has outsized impact

We value craft, speed, and collaboration, working closely with marketing, product, operations, and regional partners. Our content reaches hundreds of thousands of people on their phones, in multiple languages. We're investing in AI-powered workflows, immersive formats, and personalized delivery.

You'll define and build the future of how gig workers learn. If you want creative ownership, strategic influence, and global scale, this is the team.
The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio of interactive learning assets, a track record of delivering complex programs across multiple stakeholders and geographies, and thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where they independently identify the right problems to solve and ship high-impact solutions across concurrent workstreams. They elevate the work of those around them through mentorship, best practices, and raising the quality bar.
Key job responsibilities
- Define the design strategy and build interactive e-learning using Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise 360, establishing reusable templates, design patterns, and quality standards that scale across the team
- Author, update, and maintain a global library of learning articles, videos, and structured learning paths serving delivery partners across 9+ countries, making strategic decisions about content architecture and lifecycle management
- Lead video content strategy from concept through production - scripting, storyboarding, managing vendors, driving creative direction, and ensuring brand consistency across countries and languages at scale
- Pioneer immersive learning experiences including 360 interactive content and scenario-based simulations, evaluating new technologies and making build/buy/partner recommendations
- Define and drive the team's generative AI strategy for content creation, identifying high-leverage opportunities across scripting, visual asset generation, translation, and quality review
- Create and establish visual design standards, developing component libraries and brand systems that ensure consistency across interactive and video content
- Lead complex, cross-functional projects end-to-end: define scope and success metrics, influence prioritization with senior stakeholders, manage dependencies, mitigate risks, and deliver results across concurrent workstreams
- Architect content for global scale - defining localization frameworks, translation workflows, and culturally adaptive design systems that maintain instructional integrity across languages and regions
- Design for a mobile-first, multilingual audience with accessibility built into every interaction
- Define measurement frameworks, analyze learner metrics to identify strategic opportunities, and present data-driven recommendations to senior leadership connecting learning outcomes to business results
- Serve as a strategic partner to product, marketing, operations, and regional teams - influencing roadmaps, representing the learner perspective, and aligning learning investments with business priorities
A day in the life
Your morning might start reviewing learning inputs, outputs, and impact metrics data across countries to prioritize content decisions and investments

Mid-morning, you're in Storyline building a scenario-based module based on cross-functional launch requirements. After lunch, you're in a strategy session with marketing, product, and operations partners scoping learning needs for a new use case, then wrapping up with creative review on a video storyboard headed to production.
About the team
Amazon Flex Worldwide Learning is a high-impact team responsible for all learning content delivered to delivery partners across 9+ countries.

We own the full content lifecycle from strategy through launch and localization, and we're investing in AI, immersive formats, and personalized learning to build the next generation of delivery partner learning experience - content that helps them succeed and provide great customer experiences.
