A Flex Security Officer is a security professional who works at multiple client sites instead of having one permanent assignment. The primary responsibility is to fill in for officers who are absent, cover open shifts, and provide additional security coverage as needed. Schedules are typically variable and may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Patrol assigned properties on foot or in a vehicle.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and access control points.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity or security concerns.
  • Respond to emergencies, alarms, disturbances, and incidents.
  • Write accurate and detailed incident and daily activity reports.
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and clients.
  • Enforce company policies and site-specific procedures.
  • Fill shifts at multiple locations as business needs require.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
  • Must pass a background check and any required drug screening.
  • Must possess a valid, active security license.
  • Must meet Clarion Security's insurance eligibility requirements to operate a company vehicle.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, as needed.
  • Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle safely, when required.
  • Ability to use radios, computers, and other security equipment to perform job duties.
