Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Personnel Security Assistant in St. Louis, Missouri to support a federal personnel security program responsible for suitability determinations, background investigations, and adjudication activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and experienced in federal personnel security operations. This is role is on-site and is an exciting long-term opportunity supporting a highly visible and mission-driven government program. Responsibilities for the Personnel Security Assistant include: * Review and process Public Trust and National Security investigation requests, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal personnel security requirements.
* Serve as a trusted resource for applicants, Human Resources personnel, and internal stakeholders by providing guidance on personnel security processes, investigations, and policies.
* Apply federal suitability and adjudicative standards to evaluate investigative information and support personnel security determinations.
* Maintain the integrity of personnel security databases through quality assurance reviews, discrepancy resolution, and reporting activities.
* Assist with the development of personnel security procedures, desk guides, training materials, and program documentation.
* Support daily personnel security operations by preparing reports, conducting research, and contributing to special projects that enhance program effectiveness.
Qualifications for the Personnel Security Assistant include: *CANDIDATES MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST CLEARANCE* * 1+ years of experience supporting federal personnel security, suitability, adjudication, or background investigation programs.
* Experience reviewing and processing Public Trust investigations and working with federal personnel security regulations and adjudicative standards.
* Hands-on experience with personnel security systems such as OPM NP2 Secure Portal, DISS, PIPS/CVS, e-QIP, Personnel Security Tracking Systems, and/or Crossmatch Fingerprint Application.
* Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Bachelor's degree required; Associate's degree with relevant personnel security experience will also be considered.
Compensation for the Personnel Security Assistant: · Salary: $26/hr/$54,080 · Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Sick leave as required by state law.
