Job description

Triumphant Nerd has partnered with a major defense client to build next-generation software for autonomous systems supporting operational and tactical missions.


Weโ€™re searching for Forward Deployed Software Engineers to develop, integrate, and deploy mission-critical full-stack software across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments. This role sits at the intersection of AI, robotics, autonomy, and real-world deployment. There are multiple openings in Palo Alto, DC, NYC, Seattle, and Denver. Relocation is provided.


What Youโ€™ll Do:

  • Build and deploy full-stack autonomy software solutions
  • Integrate AI, sensor fusion, and robotic control systems
  • Support cloud, hybrid, and on-prem deployments
  • Partner with teams across AI, robotics, and systems engineering
  • Deliver scalable solutions for complex mission environments


What Weโ€™re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of software engineering experience
  • Strong skills in JS/TS, Python, Rust, or Java
  • Experience with React and modern deployment environments
  • Knowledge of APIs, CI/CD, Linux, networking, and automation tools
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain one
  • Ability to travel 25% to 75%
