Job description

Purpose:

Assist in production planning, inventory and raw material purchases

Essential Functions:

  1. Run processes in ERP system to review purchasing suggestions, and create purchase orders to send to vendors
  2. Receive purchased material into ERP system and process paperwork
  3. Contact suppliers to reconcile issues.
  4. Assist with scheduled plant inventory- enter counts, run variance reports, and reconcile discrepancies
  5. Maintains accurate inventory and conducts transfers and quantity adjustments of material
  6. Plans and schedules workflow for assigned departments to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders
  7. Runs scheduling reports to release and close jobs, reviews data, and updates inventory appropriately

Requirements

  1. High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  2. 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment within purchasing/inventory
  3. Strong verbal and written communication skills
  4. Knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office
  5. Strong organizational skills to maintain all reports and records
