What You'll Do

As a Flex Employee, you will be responsible for assembling and manufacturing electric motor components and finished products while meeting safety, quality, and production expectations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assemble motor components and finished products while meeting production goals.

  • Perform machine operation and basic equipment setup as required.

  • Inspect work to ensure all quality standards and specifications are met.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and process documentation.

  • Use measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

  • Utilize company production systems such as Visual PDM and other manufacturing software.

  • Operate material handling and production equipment safely.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Follow all company policies, work instructions, and safety procedures.

  • Participate in employee training and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Occasional overtime may be required.

Paid Training

This position requires 6–8 weeks of paid training at our Northfield, Illinois facility.

Training schedule:

  • Monday through Friday

  • Transportation provided

  • Lodging provided

  • Meals/per diem provided

  • All travel-related expenses paid by Bodine Electric Company

This training is designed to provide the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to be successful in the role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.

  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn manufacturing software systems.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Working Environment

  • Clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility.

  • Fast-paced production environment.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required.

  • Anti-static protective equipment required in designated areas.

  • Noise levels and working conditions meet OSHA standards.
