SUMMARY:
A Security Flex Officer plays a crucial role in safeguarding the premises, assets, and individuals associated with a designated area. This position requires a vigilant and proactive individual who can enforce security protocols, respond to emergencies, and maintain a safe environment.
This security personnel operate on a structured schedule comprising specific days and hours. However, they do not have fixed or permanent assignments within a particular location. Instead, they rotate between various areas or posts within the facility or organization as required.
Individuals in this role are guaranteed 32 working hours per week. Depending on the weekly workload and coverage needs, additional hours may be offered and can be taken by interested Security Flex Officers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The following are examples only and are not intended to be all inclusive or restrictive; other duties may be assigned, as necessary.
• Conduct regular patrols to monitor and inspect the premises for signs of unauthorized access or suspicious activities.
• Enforce access control procedures by verifying the identity of individuals entering the premises.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, taking appropriate action to resolve or mitigate the situation.
• Maintain effective communication with other security personnel, management, and relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct routine security checks on doors, windows, and other access points to ensure they are properly secured.
• Address facilites' misuse by visitors in a courteous, safe, and professional manner.
• Driving or operating a company vehicle as required by the job site in coverage.
• Ability to collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Must pass a pre-employment screening including Level-2 Background Check and drug test.
• Must have a valid Class 'D' Security Officer License.
• Must possess a valid and active Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Successful completion of the Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and written driver's test is required.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a Security Officer is required.
• The position may require proficiency in either English, Spanish, or both languages, depending on the contractual agreement associated with the designated job site.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, including radio communication.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Able to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and overnight if required.
• Maintain a professional appearance by adhering to grooming standards.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to patrol the properties and access areas quickly.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Physically able to walk the entire properties.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
• Ability to lift objects up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to drive a vehicle.
