Growing Independent Building Material and Design Company
Zuern Building Products is a family-owned and operated building material supplier and design company. We take pride in our tradition of providing high quality building materials and valuable services to our customers. We are "Building on Service".
Zuern Building Products is currently looking for the right person to join our driving team at our Menomonee Falls location. This is a full-time position. Must be available Monday through Friday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
  1. Delivering material to construction job sites with non-CDL trucks.
  2. Loads and unloads materials from trucks and moves material to designated areas within the shop and at customer construction job sites.
  3. Compares identifying information and counts, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, Purchase Orders, Picking Slips or other records.
  4. Determines method of shipment.
  5. Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons and/or millwork and cabinetry.
  6. Attaches, tapes or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto cartons and/or millwork and cabinetry.
  7. Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
  8. Routes items to departments.
  9. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
  10. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  11. Operates a tier lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
  12. Basic housekeeping. ie: sweep aisles, straighten piles, pick up scraps.
  13. Care of product against damage.
  14. Attention to safety procedures at all times.
  15. Attention to detail and accuracy in loading the correct product.

Requirements
  1. Valid driver's license with good driving record.
  2. Ability to operate a manual transmission box van.
  3. Forklift certification required.
  4. Excellent customer service skills.
  5. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with the ability to twist and bend.
  6. Alert, focused and detail-oriented.
  7. Basic reading, writing comprehension and math skills required.
  8. Physically and mentally fit.
  9. Self starter who works well independently as well as the ability to work well with others when needed.
  10. Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.
